11-21-2009 The Goats of the Past and the Seattle Kelp Trio
Interesting trip to Seattle last summer. Wanted to post a some pics...
We hiked up Mount Ellenor on the south side of the Olympics and saw mountain goats that had migrated there in recent years.
They followed me around and begged for food. At one point a male goat (the lazier and weaker of the genders of mountain goat) had me cornered on a ridged and had to yell at him to go away.
The next day, we went sea kayaking. Very windy conditions causing dangerous rollers in the Sound, so we hugs the shore. We saw sea lions and killer whales.

Afterward, we played instruments made of kelp. The make a pretty loud and delightfully haunting sound.
