2-6-2009 The Salsa
Yes, I have been learning salsa dancing.

I bought some lessons from Sara Dance Studio in Sarasota many years ago. I finally got around to taking them. Two intensive private dance lessons later, and I present to you: "Muy Blanco: Salsa Dancer Extraordinaire". Salsa is from Puerto Rico (and Cuba, and New York), so naturally, I attempted to ply my nimble arts in Old San Juan at "Da House".
Muy Blanco's debut was a learning experience. I realized I had no idea of what I was doing and had entirely no concept of how to salsa dance. I sat down the whole night. Back to the drawing board. I'll probably practice at some places in Tampa, since St. Petersburg hasn't a venue of that sort.
Later note: I understand the Hyde Park Cafe in Tampa on Thursdays is the best place to practice salsa in the Bay Area. Apparently they have a salsa room of the central area.
